CANFIELD -- Shannon Shugart of Boardman and Brian M. Ohl of Austintown were united in marriage by the Rev. Russ Adams during a 3:30 p.m. ceremony Oct. 21 at Western Reserve United Methodist Church.
A reception was held later that day at St. Mary Assumption Social Center in Youngstown to honor the daughter of Thomas F. Shugart of Canfield and the late Kathleen E. Shugart, and the son of Robert F. Sr. and Kathleen J. Ohl of Austintown.
The couple have returned from a wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, and live in Boardman.
The bride's strapless A-line gown of diamond-white taffeta and silver lace featured an empire waistline and corset back and was trimmed with crystals.
Black gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Melissa Sangster of Altoona, Fla., the bride's sister, and Christy Abrams of Berlin Center, and the bridesmaids, Shelly Colucci of Canfield, Jamie Bella of Austintown, Yvonne Polansky of Warren and the groom's sister-in-law, Audrey Ohl of Austintown.
Bob Ohl of Austintown performed the duties of best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Eric Bella, Eric Wheeler and Nick Noday, all of Austintown; Jason Reardon of Atlanta; and Mark Miller of Indiana. Ring bearer was the bride's son, Angelo Russo of Boardman.
The bride is a report typist with the State Auditor's Office in Youngstown. The groom graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in accounting and is a state auditor in Youngstown.
