Poland wins, 50-34, at Fitch



Lisbon knocked off Dover, 55-50.
AUSTINTOWN -- Ashley Tadla scored 16 points and hit two 3-pointers to lead Poland's 50-34 win over Fitch in the opener for both schools.
Sarah Convery scored 10 points for the Falcons who were held to 18 points in the first three quarters.
Hathaway Brown 63, Ursuline 18
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Ursuline High girls basketball team struggled shooting the ball in its season opener Saturday to Hathaway Brown, which also was opening its campaign.
The Irish made only 5-for-40 from the field, including 4-for-21 from the field, and produced only 10 points through the first three quarters before adding eight points in the final period.
Hathaway Brown, meanwhile, made 24-for-42 from the field, led by Julie Lozen with 13 points and Lauren Ryan and Mylan Woods with 12 apiece. Woods also had five rebounds.
Danielle Crafter managed seven points and five rebounds to lead Ursuline.
Lisbon 55, Dover 50
MARIETTA -- Erica Sims scored 26 points and Caitlin Glen added 14 for the Blue Devils (1-1) in the Marietta High Thanksgiving tournament. Sims was selected to the All-Tournament team.
The Blue Devils built a 45-38 lead by the end of the third quarter and held on for the win.
Leann Dahistein led Dover (0-2) with 14 points and Emily Shrock finished with 12.
Crestview 80, Western Reserve 53
NEW WATERFORD -- After getting a scare from Western Reserve in the third quarter when it cut the Rebels' lead to 47-44, the Rebels (1-0) put the game away with a 23-9 fourth period effort.
Chelsea Bowker sparked the Rebels with 31 points. Elyse Mangillo chipped in with 20 and Chelsie McCall had 10.
Lainey Kekic led the Blue Devils (0-1) with 23 points and McKenzie Mowery had 11.
South Range 60, Campbell 25
CAMPBELL -- Kelcie Witmer scored 13 points while Alicia Withers collected 10 points and seven rebounds for the Raiders (1-0).
Natetay Jones and Cassandra Walker each had six points for Campbell (0-1).
