NHL ROUNDUP \ Saturday's other games

Islanders 4, Capitals 1
UNIONDALE, N.Y. -- Jason Blake scored two goals and Rick DiPietro displayed more confidence in making 33 saves, lifting the surging New York Islanders to a 4-1 victory over the slumping Washington Capitals on Saturday night.
Blake has goals in four of five games for the Islanders, 6-1-1 in their last eight. Washington, still smarting from a 7-1 home loss to Toronto on Friday, lost for the sixth straight time -- including two overtime defeats.
Richard Park and Trent Hunter also scored, and Alexei Yashin had two assists for the Islanders.
Alex Ovechkin had the lone tally for Washington, scoring early in the third period.
Thrashers 1, Panthers 0
ATLANTA -- Ilya Kovalchuk scored his 16th goal, and Kari Lehtonen stopped 37 shots to give Atlanta the victory over Florida.
Coming off a 3-2 loss in a shootout Friday at Tampa Bay, Atlanta won for the second time in three games.
Lehtonen, who allowed Dan Boyle's game-tying goal with 11 seconds left in overtime the night before, made 12 saves in the third period.
The Thrashers' goaltender improved to 4-0 against Florida.
Bruins 3, Maple Leafs 1
TORONTO -- Petr Tenkrat, Marc Savard and Brad Boyes scored, and Boston held on to defeat Toronto. Toronto captain Mats Sundin returned to the lineup and scored a power-play goal in the third period, but the Maple Leafs looked sluggish in the first two periods -- a night after routing Washington 7-1 in their biggest offensive output of the season. Sundin, who missed three weeks with an elbow injury, spoiled Tim Thomas' shutout bid at 12:04 of the third. But Boyes, a former Leaf, gave Boston an insurance goal at 15:44 by redirecting Patrice Bergeron's pass from behind the net.
Flyers 4, Canadiens 2
MONTREAL -- Simon Gagne had two goals and an assist, and Philadelphia scored three second-period goals to end Montreal's season-high three-game winning streak. Gagne set up Mike Knuble's go-ahead goal 15:43 into the second before making it 3-1 on a power play with 11.9 seconds remaining in the period. He added his second goal of the game -- his team-leading 13th -- with a short-handed effort with 2:08 left in the third.
