"Candles on Bay Street" (9 p.m., CBS): Alicia Silverstone (Remember her?) stars in "Candles on Bay Street," the latest entry in the Hallmark Hall of Fame TV-movie pantheon. Silverstone plays a single mom who returns to her hometown in northern Maine, several years after abruptly leaving behind the man (Eion Bailey) who loved her. While she was away, he married another woman (Annabeth Gish).
"Molly: American Girl on the Home Front" (8 p.m., Disney Channel): Molly McIntire, the fictional heroine in a series of books, comes to life in this film about a young girl in the 1940s coping with the realities of World War II. Molly (Maya Ritter) befriends a young British girl who stays with her and her parents (Molly Ringwald and David Aaron Baker) after the 1940 Nazi bombings in London.
"Trial by Choir" (10 p.m., TLC): Twenty-four teenagers from Boston's toughest neighborhoods share a passion for music but varying degrees of talent. In this six-part documentary series, Jerome Kyles, an instructor at the Berklee College of Music, works alongside Kate Benjamin, a youth counselor who grew up on the same rough streets, to mentor the young adults and transform them into a traditional choral group.
"Def Comedy Jam" (11 p.m., HBO): T. Rex, Corey Holcomb, Chris Spencer and Guy Torry perform.
