Struthers pupils to sponsor walk-a-thon

STRUTHERS -- The eighth-grade class of Jennifer Colosimo at Struthers Middle School will hold a "Prancer for Cancer" walk-a-thon from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Struthers High School track.
The event is a community outreach project designed to raise money for Struthers children with life-threatening illnesses whose families need help with medical bills. Some proceeds will also go to the Ronald McDonald House.
Participants have secured pledges of 25 cents for each lap they complete around the track. There will be children's activities and visits from Santa and Clifford the Dog.
The walk is open to the community and local sponsors will set up booths for the event.
