Day-care center opens in Jamestown Village

WARREN -- A day-care center affiliated with state agencies has added a second Warren facility in the Jamestown Village Apartments.
Hillyer Children's Center's recently opened Hillyer at the Village, which is a cooperative effort between the center and the apartment complex. While the new location is open to the public there are special enrollment incentives for residents of Jamestown Village, Hillyer Administrator Nancy Conway said.
Hillyer is part of the Early Learning Initiative from the Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services. The Early Learning Initiative provides educational programs for children from the ages of 6 weeks to 12 years.
"We are proud to be offering first-rate child care in a neighborhood setting for the parents and grandparents of Jamestown Village," she said of the new location on 3100 Valley Dale Drive.
The original Hillyer location is at 609 N. Park Ave. in downtown Warren.
The public is invited to tour Hillyer at the Village, between 4:30 and 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The downtown Hillyer location is also open for tours between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
