Church to offer special services during Advent

MINERAL RIDGE -- First Presbyterian Church, 3654 Main St., is offering special services during the Advent season.
The church plans meditative sessions, "A Christmas Family Portrait," at 7 p.m. Wednesdays. The services, lasting 30 minutes, are designed to be a quiet break in the midst of hectic holiday preparations.
Services will include candlelight, reflection and these meditations: Wednesday, Uncle Zechariah (Luke 1: 5-24; 57-66); Dec. 6, Aunt Elizabeth (Luke 1: 24-25, 39-45); Dec. 13, Father Joseph (Matthew 1: 18-25; 2:13-15); and Dec. 20, Mother Mary (Luke 1: 26-38).
