Alder's late scoring blitz overwhelms Harbor

LIMA -- Austin Schlosser threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Kyle Rapp to give Plain City Jonathan Alder a lead in the final five minutes of its 24-7 win over Oak Harbor in a Division IV state semifinal Friday night.
The touchdown pulled Alder ahead 10-7. The Pioneers (13-1) scored two more touchdowns in the final minute of the game on interceptions thrown by Adam Grof.
Jake Lipstraw scored the only touchdown for Oak Harbor (13-1) and had 87 of the team's 169 rushing yards.
Schlosser passed for 171 yards.
Pickerington Cent. 7,Macedonia Nordonia 3
ASHLAND -- Chazz Anderson scored on a 1-yard sneak to lead Pickerington Central in a Div. II state semifinal.
Pickerington Central (13-1) will play against Piqua Dec. 1 in Massillon to try for its first championship.
Macedonia Nordonia (12-2) took a 3-0 lead on Eric Vukmanic's 24-yard field goal in the first quarter, but Anderson scored with 1:07 remaining in the half.
Tailback Jordan Jarrell rushed for 118 yards on 32 carries for Pickerington Central, and Jordan Mabin carried 17 times for 57 yards for Macedonia Nordonia.
Piqua 22, Cin. Turpin 9
DAYTON -- Brandon Saine rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns to lead Piqua in the other Div. II semifinal.
Saine carried 25 times, including on a 52-yard touchdown run with 3:43 remaining that widened Piqua's lead. Piqua (12-2) will face Pickerington Central on Dec. 1 in Massillon for its first appearance in a championship game since 2000.
Piqua trailed 6-3 at halftime, but took a 15-6 lead in the third quarter after Phillip Collier returned an interception 58 yards for a touchdown.
Andy Cruse caught six passes for 118 yards for Turpin (12-2).
Maria Stein Marion Local 47,Norwalk St. Paul 6
TIFFIN -- Marc Otte ran for 265 yards and three touchdowns as Maria Stein Marion Local advanced to the Div. VI championship game.
Norwalk St. Paul (9-5) took a 6-0 lead two minutes into the game on a 3-yard run by Joe Graziani. Joe Stall ran for 90 yards in the first quarter for St. Paul.
Otte ran for 40-, 70- and 37-yard touchdowns and Chris Stucke threw for a touchdown and ran for a touchdown for Marion Local (12-2), which will be playing for its third state title next weekend.
Shadyside 45, Mogadore 7
NEW PHILADELPHIA -- Taylor Jovicic scored four touchdowns and Billy Merryman connected with Nathaniel Haney for two more as Shadyside beat Mogadore 45-7 in the other Div. VI semifinal.
The Tigers (11-2) face Maria Stein Marion Local in the championship game Dec. 1 in Canton.
Merryman's 60-yard pass to Haney got scoring started for the Tigers (11-2).
Shadyside scored 26 second-quarter points, on a 21-yard Merryman pass to Jovicic, a 61 yard Merryman pass to Haney and a pair of 40-yard runs by Jovicic.
In the second half, Jovicic returned the kickoff for an 86-yard touchdown.
Merryman finished 8-of-9 for 246 yards. Jovicic had 124 yards rushing on 14 carries.
Cody Destro scored on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter for the Wildcats (11-3).
