"Gift Show 2006" (8 p.m., HGTV): A trio of shows on HGTV gets viewers geared up for the holiday shopping season, starting with "Gift Show 2006," a showcase of the season's most sought-after goodies from the New York International Gift Fair and Atlanta's AmericasMart gift show. It is followed by "Toy Fair 2006" (9 p.m.), which looks at a virtual toy land in New York, featuring 1,500 vendors with play-ready wares. "Gift and Gear 2006" (10 p.m.) samples 20 trade shows to find the hottest in high-tech gadgets.
"Bono and the Edge: Off the Record" (11 p.m., HBO): This special features an intimate sit-down interview with the lead singer and guitarist from the rock group U2. The program is a preview of an upcoming series that takes the "Inside the Actors Studio" format and substitutes musicians for screen stars. Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics serves as host.
"Pro-Life" (10 p.m., Showtime): It's John Carpenter's turn to creep us out during the "Masters of Horror" anthology series. The director presents "Pro-Life," a story about a young woman (Caitlin Wachs) in a health clinic who learns that she has a demonic seed growing within her.
