55-PLUS CLUBMINERAL RIDGE
XA meeting of the 55-Plus Club of Mineral Ridge will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Church. A speaker from the Better Business Bureau will discuss scams and identity fraud. Reservations are to be made for the Christmas party. Members will dine out after the meeting.
AARP 2520
XThe executive board of Poland Chapter 2520, AARP, will meet at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Poland United Methodist Church, where a general meeting will begin at 1 p.m. Officers will be elected, and the speaker will be Stan Boney, Channel 33 weatherman. Reservations and payment of $10 will be accepted for the Dec. 4 catered Christmas party. Those not attending this meeting may make reservations and payment until Nov. 27 by calling (330) 757-8319.
AARP 4545
XBoardman South Chapter 4545, AARP, will meet at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 7 at Holiday Inn South in Boardman for a Christmas luncheon. Elmer Haidle will preside. Cost is $12.50, and the menu choice is baked ham or orange roughy. Reservations are due Nov. 30 by sending a check indicating the choice of entree to Helen Day, 543 W. Glen Drive, Boardman, OH 44512, or by calling (330) 782-2816. The program will be a Christmas musicale by Austintown AARP Choir. Michael and Laura Pavlik, community service chairmen, are asking members to take toys for children newborn to 12 to be distributed by the Salvation Army. Anniversaries and birthdays will be observed, and guests and new members are welcome.

BROWNLEE WOODS
XBrownlee Woods Seniors will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Community United Church of Christ, corner of Sheridan Road and Midlothian Boulevard, for crafts and cards. New members are welcome. Those attending should take a sack lunch; tea and coffee will be furnished.
HOLY FAMILY
XHoly Family Seniors will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the K. of C. Hall in Poland. Hostess will be Ida E. Miller, and sandwiches and snacks will be served. There will be a 50-50 drawing, cards and bingo. Canned goods should be taken for the Poland Food Pantry, and payment for the Christmas party is due at this meeting. Cost is $7 for members and $8 for guests. Those unable to attend the meeting can send their checks to Lora Opsitnik, 138 Iroquois St., Struthers, OH 44471.

XThe Public Employees Retirees Inc., Mahoning Chapter 18, will have a Christmas luncheon and meeting at noon Dec. 5 at the ITAM, 115 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown. The menu will be roast turkey breast, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, sweet potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower mix, cranberry sauce, tossed salad, rolls, apple pie a la mode, and coffee and tea. The cost is $5 for members and associate members and $7 for guests, payable at the door. There will be a money and a poinsettia raffle.
