Holiday event to feature brunch and sweet treats



Proceeds will benefit disabled children and adults served by the Easter Seal Center.
BOARDMAN -- Antone's Banquet Centre, 8578 Market St., will be the setting Dec. 6 for a Holiday Brunch and Sweet Shoppe to be sponsored by Angels of Easter Seals.
Mimosa punch will be served at 10:30 a.m. as a prelude to the 11:30 brunch.
The menu will feature Wooden Indian salad, apple streusel cobbler, strata brunch, Louisiana French bread pudding, breakfast pears, shrimp and crabmeat au gratin, provolone chicken and cheese puffed potatoes. In addition, patrons will be able to purchase a variety of cookies, pastries and breads. The menu items as well as the sweets will be prepared from recipes in the Angels of Easter Seals cookbooks.
The cookbooks and gift baskets will be available for sale. Entertainment at the event will be an informal fashion show, and there will be a Chinese auction.
The cost is $25 a person, and reservations are required by Nov. 27. Checks will ensure reservations and should be mailed to Angels of Easter Seals, c/o Debbie Wilson, 9866 Callawoods Drive, Canfield, OH 44406. Tickets can also be reserved and cookbooks can be purchased by contacting any Angel or by calling the center, (330) 743-1168.
