CORTLAND -- Carrie L. Roscoe, 169 W. Main St., and Matthew J. Brumit, 547 Boyd Ave., Akron, were married Oct. 14 at St. Robert Church during a 2:30 p.m. ceremony solemnized by the Rev. Carl Kish.
After a reception at Garden Brook Banquet Center, the couple left for the Riviera Maya, Mexico. They live in Cortland.
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Roscoe, 3669 Dunbar Lane, are parents of the bride, and the groom is a son of Cheryl Brumit, of the Akron address, and the late James Brumit.
The bride wore a strapless white silk gown.
Black gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Kelly Roscoe and Kimberly Donaldson, and the bridesmaids, Jaclyn Kuntz, Lisa Donaldson, Stephanie Dewberry, Dr. Christine Gross, Danielle Shell and Kristen Brumit. Junior bridesmaids were Paige Noday and Jamie and Jessica Shell, and flower girls were Lauren and Ashley Brumit.
Performing the duties of best man was Scott Brownlee, and groomsmen were Jonathan Smart, Kyle Sobecki, Corey Ohalek, Terrence Powell, Jason Scott, Aaron Brumit and Jarod Kane. Ring bearer was Alexander Donaldson.
The bride earned a bachelor's degree in secondary education/comprehensive communications at Youngstown State University, where she is pursuing a master's degree in education. She is a reading teacher at Grand Valley Middle School in Orwell.
The groom, who attended YSU, is employed by Sentry Fence in Akron and is a pitching instructor at Brownlee's Baseball Academy in Medina.
