Washington, Pa. -- Westminster opened competition in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) as the Titan men defeated Washington & amp; Jefferson 132-94, while the Titan women were handed a 125-100 loss by the Presidents. Ryan Trunk swam a leg of the winning 400 medley relay team that posted a time of 3:37.61. Trunk also took the 200 freestyle (1:47.04) and the 100 freestyle (47.89). Pat Smith and Conor Simpson, also on the 400 medley, took top times in the 200-yard backstroke (2:00.50) and the 200 butterfly (2:03.96), respectively. Other multiple-event winner for the Titans was sophomore Zac Gebhardt, who captured the 1,000 and 500. freestyle with times of 10:20.87 and 4:56.32. The Titan women were able to claim the 400 freestyle relay in 3:47.35. Three members of that relay team also won individual events. Emily Dressler won the 100 freestyle (55.53), Megan Mier took the 200 backstroke (2:13.34) and Megan McLaughlin captured the 50 freestyle (25.47). The men are 2-0/1-0 PAC, while the women are 0-2/0-1.
