Dann names team leaders

YOUNGSTOWN — Ohio Attorney General-elect Marc Dann, a Liberty Democrat, has announced the chairmen of his transition team and a code of conduct for those on the team.

State Sen. Eric Kearney of Cincinnati; Kent Markus, an associate professor of law at Capital University Law School; and Tom Winters, a partner in the Columbus office of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease, will chair the team. All are Democrats. Additional members will be named in two weeks.

Dann’s term begins Jan. 8.

The transition team examines the office’s operations to determine if changes are needed, establish hiring standards, and makes recommendations to Dann on the hiring of high-level positions, said Leo Jennings III, the campaign and communication director.

Jennings will serve as senior adviser to Dann and interim communications director for the team.
