Boardman official submits resignation
BOARDMAN -- Jim Barone, assistant township fiscal officer, submitted his resignation letter to trustees this week. His last day is Nov. 24.
Barone, who has been with the township nine years, said he is taking a similar position near Cleveland. His departure makes six management employees who have left since March.
In March, trustees fired Curt B. Seditz, longtime township administrator. Deputy Administrator Christina Griffith, who had been named acting administrator, left in May for a job in Lake County. Michael Villano, Seditz's replacement, left after about three weeks as township administrator.
Police Chief Jeffrey Patterson left in July to take a job as an assistant prosecutor in Summit County, and Tammi Rush, information-technology coordinator, quit earlier this month for a job in the private sector.
