VETERANS MEMORIAL: Peg Williamson of St. Joseph, Mich., made a special trip to place an American flag near the World War II commemorative marker in the new Veterans Memorial at North Jackson Cemetery. She attended the dedication ceremony Saturday. Her father, Wayne Clemens, was killed in the war and is buried in the cemetery. The memorial features a black marker for veterans of Desert Storm, Vietnam, Korea, WWII, WWI and the Civil War. A large stone wall also is part of the memorial.
