TOP 25 ROUNDUP Saturday's other games

MEN
No. 3 Kansas 91, N. Arizona 57
LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Preseason All-American Brandon Rush scored 21 points and Kansas got its season off to a roaring start with an easy victory. Five players scored in double figures for the Jayhawks, who return all five starters and almost 86 percent of their scoring from the team that went 25-8 last season and won the Big 12 championship. Deveric Taylor led Northern Arizona with 12 points.
No. 8 Georgetown 69, Hartford 59
WASHINGTON -- Jeff Green had 17 points and seven rebounds to help Georgetown pull away from Hartford. Roy Hibbert, like Green a part of the junior class that arrived at Georgetown with coach John Thompson III, added 16 points. Hibbert's three-point play with 4:59 left finally gave the Hoyas some separation at 59-54. Until then, Georgetown's problems on offense (42 percent from the field) and Hartford's reliance on 3-pointers kept things close. The Hawks were within 54-53 with under seven minutes left before Georgetown began to take control. Joe Zeginski and Alex Zimnickas led Hartford with 14 points apiece.
No. 20 Syracuse 78, Penn 60
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Eric Devendorf and Terrence Roberts each scored 16 points and Matt Gorman had a career-high 12 points for Syracuse. The game was the second of a doubleheader in the Black Coaches Association Invitational, a round-robin at the Carrier Dome. Syracuse (2-0) will play UTEP (2-0) on Sunday, while St. Francis of New York (0-2) will meet Penn (0-2). Ibrahim Jaaber led the Quakers with 18 points.
WOMEN
No. 6 Duke 102, Northeastern 49
DURHAM, N.C. -- Bridgette Mitchell had 18 points and 13 rebounds in her first college game to help Duke open the season with a victory. Fellow newcomer Joy Cheek added 12 points and 11 rebounds for Duke. Mitchell and Cheek are the first Blue Devils to open their careers with double-doubles since Monique Currie had 17 points and 10 rebounds against Texas Tech on Nov. 11, 2001. Ashlee Feldman led Northwestern with 17 points and Lucia Pablos had 11.
