Regional Chambernames four directors
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Regional Chamber has named new members of the board of directors: Albert Blank, president and chief operating officer of First Place Bank; Stephen Kristan, director of external affairs for AT & amp;T; Hunter Morrison, director of the Center For Urban & amp; Regional Studies at Youngstown State University; and James Pitzer, senior vice president at Chase. Directors reappointed were: Atty. Matthew Blair of Blair & amp; Latell Co.; Donald Crane, president of Western Reserve Building Trades; Charles Jarvis, publisher of The Tribune Chronicle; Donald Kacmar, president of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Retirement Services; and Teri Storey, president of Masonry Materials Plus. The officers for 2007 are: chairman, Frank Hierro, regional president of Sky Bank; past chairman, Thomas Fleming, president of AIM Nationalease; vice chairman, Timothy Rupert, president of RTI International Metals; vice chairman, Anthony Cafaro Jr., vice president of The Cafaro Co.; and treasurer, Walter Pishkur, president of Aqua Ohio.
Wound-care centerat St. E's campus
BOARDMAN -- Humility of Mary Health Partners is opening a wound-care center on the St. Elizabeth Boardman campus. This new location, the fourth wound-care center within HMHP, will be temporarily located in the St. Elizabeth Wellness Center inside the Davis Family YMCA at 45 McClurg Road. Wound-care centers are outpatient facilities that provide care to patients suffering from chronic wounds such as those associated with diabetes and circulatory disorders. The Boardman center will be open every Thursday but will expand its hours once the St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center opens next year.
Ankle & amp; Foot Careopens Boardman office
BOARDMAN -- Ankle & amp; Foot Care Centers has opened an office at 8175 Market St. to replace a center in the Beeghly Medical Park. The company has 19 offices in the region, including another one in Boardman on Boardman-Canfield Road. Podiatric physicians and surgeons offer diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitation services for all types of ankle and foot problems.
Aldi's store on Belmont
YOUNGSTOWN -- Aldi Foods, a worldwide discount grocery chain, will open its store at 3497 Belmont Ave. on Nov. 30. Aldi has more than 800 U.S. stores, which contain four or five aisles and feature a limited assortment of items. The chain markets itself as a more convenient and lower cost option than larger stores. Aldi started in Germany and now has more than 5,000 stores in Europe, the U.S. and Australia.
UPS opens new store
AUSTINTOWN -- The UPS Store has opened at 5547 Mahoning Ave. The store handles shipping, postal and business services, such as document finishing, notary services and passport photos. UPS Store locations are independently owned by licensed franchisees of Mail Boxes Etc., a UPS company.
MonkeyBiz! clothingopens at Warren site
WARREN -- Janeen Nichols has opened MonkeyBiz!, a clothing and fashion store at 1219 Niles-Cortland Road. She operated Monkey Business over two decades ago but closed that business to rear her children. Also involved in the new business are her husband, Ken, and four children. Monkey Biz! offers children's and women's clothes, a resale shop with name-brand clothing and a popcorn and candy store.
