WARREN -- Horror Hotel, a horror and cult movie convention, will be held Friday, Saturday and Nov. 19 at the Comfort Inn, downtown.
The show will feature film stars, a costume contest (winner will receive cash prize and a trophy), a movie room with movies playing all weekend, and trick-or-treat bags for the first 50 kids 12 and under. The Ohio State-Michigan football game will be playing in the Comfort Inn Lounge on the big screen.
The list of film stars includes Adrienne Barbeau from "The Fog" and HBO's "Carnival;" Dee Wallace Stone from "The Howling" and "Abominable"; erotic horror film star Lynn Marz from "Goth Girls, Island of Torture"; Scream Queen Brinke Stevens from "Slumber Party Massacre"; and Keith Age from Sci-Fi channel's "Spooked."
Also, zombie actors Nick Tallo, Joe Shelby, Clayton and Sharon Hill, Lenny Lies and Bill Hinzman from George Romero's "Dawn of the Dead" and "Night of the Living Dead" will be present. There will also be vendors and dealers.
Times are as follows: Friday, 4 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $15 for the entire day, or $25 for a weekend pass. Contact the Comfort Inn at (330) 393-1200 for further information.

Youth players presentmusical fairy tale
LISBON -- Stage Left Youth Players will present the original musical fairy tale "Wake Up, Aurora!" on Friday, Saturdayand Nov. 19. The play, written by Kandace Cleland, with musical director Jodine Pilmer, and centers on Princess Aurora who disappeared on her 16th birthday. Thirteen years later, a disheveled girl stumbles into the Village Square. Can she save a kingdom of sorrow-filled subjects that have been under a cruel ruler since her disappearance?

Christmas open house at Butler art museum
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Butler Institute of American Art will hold a Christmas open house from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 25 and noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 26.
The event will include a sale of unique craft items from area artists.
Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus will be on hand for photos with children from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday. Photos will be taken by professional photographers from Rudinec & amp; Associates, Boardman. The gift shop will also have specials on items.
The museum will be decked out in holiday decorations, and carousel memorabilia, Americana collections, Hummels and the popular glass bell collection will be on display.
Classic holiday films will be shown in the Beecher Center auditorium, and football will be on a large screen television.

British comedieson tap at PBS event
KENT -- British comedy fans can enjoy an afternoon of behind-the-scenes gossip and the screening of six programs at PBS 45/49's Dish 'n Clips event Dec. 2 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sheraton Suites hotel in Cuyahoga Falls.
The event includes the screening of six series under consideration for broadcast: four "one-season wonders," one familiar program and one of Britain's most popular comedies.
Special guest Julius Cain, vice president of BBC Worldwide Americas, will introduce each series and, after the screening, "dish" with guests about the latest BritCom news and gossip. Guests will be asked to evaluate the programs and vote for their favorites.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and are $7.50 for station members and $10 for nonmembers. Doors open for the event at 12:30 p.m. for the PBS 45/49 garage sale, featuring station merchandise at bargain prices.

'Wonderful World'
ALLIANCE -- The Mount Union College department of theater will present "Wonderful World," written by Richard Dresser, at 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday in Rodman Playhouse.
"Wonderful World" examines how love, honesty and respect can be severed through cynicism, infidelity and pessimism.
