Stow-Munroe Falls tops Fairfield to capture Division I soccer title

COLUMBUS -- Nick Yannucci scored Stow-Munroe Falls' fourth straight shootout goal and John DiAntonio had a key save to give the Bulldogs a 4-3 shootout advantage against Fairfield and a 1-0 victory in the boys Division I state final.
The Indians (20-1-2) outshot Stow 17-11, including 6-2 on goal, but couldn't get the ball past DiAntonio until Jacob Waters scored on the second attempt of the shootout.
DiAntonio finished with six saves for the Bulldogs (21-0-2), including a save of Chris Feller's final shot of the shootout to seal the win.
Tyler Liester, Tim Scott, Mike Grant and Yannucci scored during the shootout for Stow, which took an early lead when Fairfield's Aaron Miller missed the first shot of the shootout wide right.
Besides Waters, Fairfield's Nick Yeager and Bruce Fox the team's shootout goals.
Worthington Christian 1, Wickliffe 0, SO
COLUMBUS -- Worthington Christian outscored Wickliffe 4-2 in a shootout in the Division III boys state soccer final.
Worthington Christian goalkeeper Michael Dybdahl turned away two shots in regulation, then made two diving saves during the shootout to help the Warriors (20-1-1) claim their first championship.
The Blue Devils (18-4-1) got shootout goals from Admir Suljevic and Almir Suljevic.
Worthington Christian scored on its first three shootout attempts by Eric Stevenson, Brooks Price and Max Weston. Benj Foor scored the fourth with a shot to the right of goalkeeper Almir Suljevic.
