Oct. 24
Bad check: A customer wrote a bad check to buy cigarettes and gasoline at A & amp;T Mart, 5721 Market St.
Theft: A woman reported a change purse was missing from her purse while she was at Aldi grocery store, 6131 South Ave.
Theft: A 23-year-old Youngstown man faced charges of theft and possession of marijuana after items were stolen from Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive, and after police said they found three small bags of suspected marijuana.
Theft: Six leather coats were stolen from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: Police charged a 46-year-old Youngstown woman with theft after jewelry was stolen from Macy's in the Southern Park Mall.
Arrest: Authorities charged a 20-year-old Campbell man with theft, possession of criminal tools and drug-abuse instruments. The man tried to steal three tool sets from Sears in the Southern Park Mall and had three hypodermic needles on him, police said.
Burglary: Someone broke into a laundry room's dryer in the 300 block of East Midlothian Boulevard and took change.
Theft: Police picked up a 47-year-old Youngstown woman on a felony warrant charging her with theft relating to the theft of rental property from Rent-a-Center, 6810 Market St.
Oct. 25
Criminal damaging: A man reported someone in another vehicle struck the victim's rear passenger-side car door in the 400 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: An employee at Greenbriar Healthcare Center, 8064 South Ave., reported a check was removed from her purse.
Stolen property: Police arrested two women, 19 and 27, and a girl, 17, all of Youngstown, after clothing was stolen from the J.C. Penney store and Sears. One woman was charged with theft and the other with receiving stolen property. The girl was charged with both crimes. Stolen merchandise was found in their vehicle, officers said.
Theft: A woman came out of Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive, and noticed a license plate missing from her car.
Assault: While police investigated a fight at Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & amp; Bar, 6691 South Ave., they arrested a 59-year-old Poland woman on charges of assault on a police officer, assault on a firefighter, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct at the scene of an emergency. She was accused of twice kicking a firefighter and punching an officer once in the arm.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 7400 block of Salinas Trail reported damage to his lawn and a fence.
Arrest: Officers took a 23-year-old Youngstown man into custody after they stopped a car determined to have been stolen, also with a stolen license plate, on West Midlothian Boulevard. The man faced a felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon after police said they found a small handgun.
Domestic violence: Police charged a Lockwood Boulevard woman, 24, with domestic violence after her husband alleged she scratched his neck and face and threw a glass at him, injuring his nose and lips.
Bad check: Officers took into custody a 30-year-old Boardman woman on a warrant charging her with passing bad checks after a bad check was passed at Seven Seventeen Credit Union, 7371 California Ave.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 23-year-old Boardman man on a domestic-violence charge after a woman alleged he bit her ear.

Bad check: Officers charged a 49-year-old Youngstown man with one felony count of passing bad checks after t
hey said he failed to make good on a 33,450 check he wrote at Boardman Nissan Inc., 7809 Market St., that had been returned for insufficient funds.
Criminal damaging: A pupil at Boardman Center Middle School, 7410 Market St., deliberately walked through and left footprints in cement that had just been poured.
Theft: A man pumped 40 worth of gasoline at Country Fair Food Store, 7465 South Ave., and left without paying.
Theft: Four downspouts were removed from Antone's Banquet Centre & amp; Gourmet Catering, 8578 Market St.
Theft: A front license plate was stolen off a vehicle in the 500 block of Pierce Drive.
Theft: Police charged a Salem woman, 26, with theft after she was accused of concealing 218 worth of maternity clothing in a handbag at Kohl's, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.
Burglary: A Lake Shore Drive woman discovered items, possibly jewelry and money, missing from her residence.
Theft: A man reported several credit cards and money missing from his wallet while he was at a home in the 300 block of East Midlothian Boulevard.
Theft: A man fled after taking three cellular phones from Sprint PCS, 430 Boardman-Poland Road.
Drugs: After pulling over a car police said nearly caused an accident near Midlothian Boulevard and Hillman Way, authorities charged a Boardman man, 37, with operating a motor vehicle under the influence and possession of marijuana.
Arrest: Police charged a 34-year-old Youngstown woman with possession of marijuana after they stopped her vehicle near South Avenue for having expired license plates. Police also learned she was wanted on a warrant from Summit County charging her with nonsupport of dependents and said she had suspected marijuana in one of her shoes.
Bad check: A 1,000 check was presented at Market Motor Co., 7871 Market St., as a down payment for a vehicle. The check was twice returned for insufficient funds, however.
Oct. 27
Burglary: A neighbor noticed a garage door and window open at a home in the 4100 block of Hudson Drive. A box of checks was found on the living room floor.
Forgery: A worker at Rent-a-Center reported cashing five U.S Treasury checks later determined to have been forged. The total loss was 1,761.
Drugs: After getting a report of someone passed out in a car near Market Street and Shadyside Drive, police took a 22-year-old Youngstown man into custody. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence and possession of drug-abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia.
Arrest: Officers conducted a registration check on a car in the 5100 block of Southern Boulevard and determined it had been stolen. They arrested a Boardman man, 23, on two counts of receiving stolen property and one count of possession of marijuana.
Theft: A woman reported the theft of her purse from a shopping cart while at Cochran's Sparkle Market, 4121 South Ave.
Drugs: Police charged a 48-year-old Boardman man with operating a vehicle under the influence and drug abuse after police say he almost caused an accident near Midlothian Boulevard.
Drugs: While responding to a loud-music complaint at a Shields Road residence, officers arrested a 28-year-old Boardman man after saying they found suspected marijuana on a coffee table. The charge was drug abuse.
Oct. 28
Criminal damaging: A car was spray-painted in the 800 block of Indianola Road.
Theft: A temporary tag was taken off a vehicle at Value City Home Store, 1140 Boardman-Poland Road.
Robbery: A 26-year-old Youngstown woman faced charges of robbery and possession of drugs after being accused of stealing clothing and fighting with security personnel at TJ Maxx & amp; More, 717 Boardman-Poland Road. The woman also had suspected marijuana, police said.
Breaking and entering: A break-in occurred at Four Jacks Filling Station, 1215 Boardman-Poland Road.
Forgery: A man discovered checks stolen from him were endorsed and cashed at Wal-Mart.
Arrest: Authorities apprehended a 39-year-old Youngstown man after a woman at the Southern Park Mall said he was in her vehicle stealing money and that he broke a driver's-side window. Charges against the man were theft, criminal damaging, possession of drugs and fleeing and eluding police.
Burglary: Police charged two 21-year-old Boardman men with burglary, saying they entered a Cook Avenue residence without permission and tried to assault three people.
Drugs: Officers made four arrests while investigating a suspicious vehicle near Cathy Ann Drive. A Boardman girl, 17, was charged with drug abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia and underage consumption of alcohol. Charges of underage consumption and possession of an alcoholic beverage were filed against a Boardman woman, 18, and two Campbell men, 18 and 19.
Drug paraphernalia: Police made three drug-related arrests while conducting a traffic stop in the township. Charged with possession of drug paraphernalia were two Youngstown men, 37 and 39, and a Mercer, Pa., man 41, after authorities said they found suspected crack pipes. One of the men also was charged with receiving stolen property.

Criminal damaging: A car was damaged at Camelot Lanes, 628 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Bad checks: Two checks written to buy merchandise at Rulli Bros., 5780 South Ave., were determined to have been stolen.
Criminal damaging: A Homestead Drive woman found her vehicle had been spray-painted.
Theft/criminal damaging: Money was removed from a car in the 4500 block of Montrose Avenue. Another vehicle had its door lock damaged.
Criminal damaging: A car's driver's side was spray-painted in the 4700 block of Simon Road.
Burglary: A woman in the 7400 block of Oregon Trail reported a burglary.
Criminal damaging: A business sign was spray-painted at Drescher & amp; Associates, 5250 South Ave.
Attempted breaking and entering: Someone tried to pry open a rear door at Torrie Trella's Academy of Dance, 5918 Market St.
Disruption of services/criminal damaging: Someone opened fire hydrants in the 4200 block of Oak Knoll Drive, and some Newport Drive residents reported water in their basements.
Arrest: Police arrested a Mineral Ridge man, 50, during a traffic stop in the township after police found out he was wanted on three warrants from Austintown. The charges were two counts of drug possession and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Drug paraphernalia: Police charged a 27-year-old Boardman man with possession of drug paraphernalia after police said they found a suspected crack pipe on him during a traffic stop.
