Livi edges Newell, 4-3; Wharmby stops R & amp;J



There are no more unbeaten teams left in the Class B League.
STRUTHERS -- Manoli Pahoulis scored the game-winning run on an error as Livi Steel defeated Newell Sporting Goods, 4-3, in eight innings in Monday's late Class B action at Cene Park.
Pahoulis and Zach Byler had a single and a double each while Shane Liska pitched two scoreless innings of one hit relief with three strikeouts for the victory.
Adam Abusaleh had three hits and Brian Bianco two for Newell (0-3). Chris Pace went the distance for the loss. He had five strikeouts.
Wharmby 7, R & amp;J Trucking 4
It only took three games into the season, but Wharmby Sports scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning to hand R & amp; J Trucking their first loss on the season.
With the loss by R & amp;J Trucking, there are no undefeated teams left in Class B this season.
Josh Folkwein's third hit of the game in the eighth inning drove home the go ahead run while John Pitzulo had a single and a triple for the winners.
Ross Voicy was the winner in relief while Tom Popadak picked up the save foe Wharmby (2-1). Tyler Manfull had three hits, one a double, while Travis McCarthy, Jim Pasquine, and Ben Miller had two hits each for R & amp; J Trucking (2-1).
Joe Fox went seven plus innings and took the loss. He allowed three earned runs and had seven strikeouts.
