LIBERTY
May 24
Criminal mischief: Police were called to the 1100 block of Smithsonian Street after three male juveniles shot BBs at mailboxes.
Drugs: After pulling over a vehicle for speeding, police arrested an 18-year-old Youngstown man on Sampson Drive on a charge of drug abuse (marijuana) after saying he had a cigar containing suspected marijuana.
Aggravated menacing: A Madison Avenue woman accused her former boyfriend, 35, of making phone calls in which he threatened to harm her with a crowbar.
Arrest: Officers picked up a 41-year-old Naylor-Lloyd Road woman at her home who was wanted on several traffic warrants. A charge of falsification also was pending.
May 25
Theft: A Salem man staying at the Tallyho-tel, 4249 Belmont Ave., said a Youngstown man stole the victim's wallet.
Theft: A woman in her 30s took $82 worth of gum from Rite Aid Pharmacy, 2704 Belmont Ave.
Criminal damaging: Someone threw rocks and damaged 10 windows at RWC Rentals, 5140 Belmont Ave., causing $800 worth of damage.
Theft: A Youngstown woman discovered her purse stolen, likely from her car, as she left Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave.
Arrests: Authorities picked up two women in Girard, both 19 and from the Columbus area, on warrants. One woman was charged with complicity; the other faced one count of identity fraud.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A West Montrose Street man told police a Liberty woman, 38, took his 1992 Chevy Cavalier without permission and failed to return it.
Theft: A worker at a Shell True North gas station, 3990 Belmont Ave., reported a woman stole 140 packs of gum, 25 candy bars and batteries, costing the business $185.
May 26
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 31-year-old man at his Holly Drive residence on a domestic-violence charge after his girlfriend alleged the man threatened her with a knife, narrowly missing her, and threatened to harm her during an argument.
May 28
Domestic violence: A 48-year-old man was taken into custody at his Tibbetts-Wick Road home and charged with one count of domestic violence. The man's sister alleged he struck her in the face multiple times during an argument. The victim suffered a swollen eye and a possible broken nose.
Vehicle theft: A woman reported the theft of her 2004 Dodge Caravan from her residence in the 4900 block of Sampson Drive.
Theft: A woman in the 500 block of Murray Hill Drive reported a golf bag, golf clubs, a laser measurer, two cellular phones and a DVD player stolen from her car. The theft came to about $3,500.
May 29
Domestic violence: Two charges of domestic violence were filed against a 30-year-old Youngstown man after his sister alleged he punched, choked and pushed her during an altercation at her Liberty residence, and after he was accused of punching another person who tried to intervene. The sister had an injury and swelling near her left eye.
Theft: A license plate was removed from a vehicle in the 700 block of Tibbetts-Wick Road.
May 30
Theft: A woman in her late 40s stole 14 packages of cigars from a Speedway gas station, 4210 Belmont Ave.
Arrest: Officers took a Harding Avenue man, 29, into custody at his home on a felony charge of disrupting public services. The man made repeated, unnecessary calls to 911, police said.
GIRARD
May 26
Theft: A Stull Avenue woman accused a Girard man, 41, of taking the keys to her apartment and car.
Aggravated assault: A Girard boy, 14, and his mother told police another male juvenile punched and kicked the victim in the face and head during a fight. The boy had various minor injuries.
Arrests: While patrolling Liberty Park near Mosier Road around 11 p.m., police arrested a Hubbard boy, 16, and a Youngstown girl, 17, on charges of criminal trespassing. The boy also was charged with underage consumption of beer.
May 27
Criminal mischief: A woman in the 500 block of Hazel Street discovered someone shot a window at her home with a BB.
Criminal damaging: A Stull Avenue woman reported her vehicle's right front tire fell off, which caused an accident and could have been the result of sabotage.
Arrest: Police responding to a loud-music complaint at a residence in the 100 block of East Wilson Avenue arrested an 18-year-old Girard woman. She faced charges of underage consumption of beer and resisting arrest.
May 29
Assault/aggravated menacing: Police responded to a fight at a residence in the 200 block of Broadview Avenue in which a woman alleged her brother assaulted her and another person pointed a gun at her. Several other people also reported being assaulted.
HUBBARD
May 25
Arrest: Police apprehended a Hubbard man wanted on a warrant after a foot chase in the 60 block of South Main Street. The charge was obstructing justice.
Assault: Someone reported a fight between two employees at ATC Light & amp; Products, 400 Myron St.
May 26
Theft: A Johnny K Drive man reported the theft of a bicycle.
May 27
Theft: An employee at Subway, 544 W. Liberty St., reported two men tricked the business out of $80.
May 29
Theft: A Hillview Drive woman reported the theft of property from her apartment.
Arrest: Armstrong County, Pa., authorities detained a man wanted on a warrant from Hubbard charging him with aggravated robbery and theft.
Arrest: After conducting a traffic stop near Grandview Avenue, officers took a man, no city listed, into custody on charges of operating a vehicle under the influence and disorderly conduct.
May 30
Assault: A man called police to report an assault at a residence in the 40 block of Cyrus Avenue.
