Motorcycle accident injures Mineral Ridge man

A motorcyclist was in critical condition Monday night in St. Elizabeth Health Center after being involved in an accident Sunday on state Route 88 in Vernon Township.
William Pounds, 59, of Mineral Ridge was driving a motorcycle eastbound about 2 p.m. Sunday in the 7700 block of Route 88 when he lost control of the motorcycle and was thrown off, the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported. The crash remains under investigation.
A dispatcher with the Liberty Police Department said she was unable to give out information about another motorcycle accident on Oriel-Rodgers Road on Sunday or a shooting involving two females, ages 15 and 19, who were shot in their yard on Colonial Drive over the weekend.
