Facing drug charges

Facing drug charges
YOUNGSTOWN -- A 50-year-old Poland man was charged Monday by city police with felony drug abuse and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Keith H. Roberts of Katahdin Drive was arrested after officers followed his vehicle because they said it was moving erratically around 3 p.m. and then went right on red without slowing down or signaling.
Soon after that, the passenger fled the vehicle, and Roberts tried to elude officers by driving the car away. Both were apprehended, and two pieces of a used crack pipe were found on the driver's seat.
In searching Roberts, an officer said he found cocaine in his shirt pocket and a piece of used glass crack pipe in his pants pocket. Roberts was taken to the Mahoning County jail to await arraignment.
