Applicants from all counties
There were 134 scholarship applications from 49 of Ohio's 88 counties. All scholarships awarded by the society's 12-member volunteer scholarship review committee were based on scholastic performance, community service and leadership. This year special consideration was given to first-time applicants.
Scholarship applicants are residents of Ohio, diagnosed with cancer before age 21, under the age of 25 at the time of application and plan to attend an accredited university or community college in the United States.
