Small plane crashes, killing Ohio pilot



WEST LIBERTY, Ohio (AP) -- A man was killed Saturday evening when the ultra-light plane he was piloting crashed, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
Paul Walborn, 51, of West Liberty, took off from a private airstrip there. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Witnesses reported that it appeared the plane experienced mechanical failure before the crash around 5:30 p.m., according to the patrol. The patrol's Marysville post is investigating.
West Liberty is about 45 miles northwest of Columbus.
