XYOUNGSTOWN -- Monsignor Peter Polando officiated as Sonia Marie D'Angona and Eric Joseph Alfeld, both of 3398 Lenox Village Drive, Fairlawn, were united in marriage at 1:30 p.m. April 29 at Holy Name Church.
The daughter of Domenico and Cristina D'Angona, 1495 Fox Den Trail, Canfield, and the son of Carol Alfeld and Robert and Deb Alfeld, all of Fort Wayne, Ind., accepted congratulations at a reception at the Maronite Center before leaving for Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. They live in Fairlawn.
Black gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Katie Wingard, and the bridesmaids, Bonnie Bodnar, Molly Webb, Lynn Meshula, Angie Ferenchak, Melissa Frank, Melissa Geletka, Amy Poremba, Sarah Wood, Carol Shaffer and Molly McCarthy. Wearing silver gowns were the junior bridesmaids, Alex Alfeld, Ariel Alfeld, Michelle Rucci, Angela Rucci and Victoria Rucci.
Best man was Josh Richardson, and groomsmen were Adam Alfeld, Sammy Beck, Brian Schroeder, Josh Beck, Tony D'Angona, Mike Beck, Joey Krouse, Adam Haggard, Paul Alfeld, and Kaelan Handshy. Ring bearers were Max Marcacci Malinowski and Anthony Alfeld.
A graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in marketing, the bride is in sales with Netco Title Co., Akron.
The groom graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., with a bachelor's degree in marketing and is employed in sales by Sun Microsystems, Cleveland.
