XSANTA ANA, El Salvador -- Iglesia del Carmen Catholic Church was the setting at 3:30 p.m. April 22 as Evelyn Rubidia Ban & otilde;s Mojica and Daniel Anthony Pappalardo, both of El Salvador, were united in marriage.
A reception was held afterward at Despues en la Casa 38 in Nativdad, Santa Ana, for the daughter of Jose Ines Ban & otilde;s Moran and Maria Luisa Mojica Rodriguez, both of El Salvador, and the son of Joseph Pappalardo of Warren and Marian Pappalardo of Austintown.
The couple will live in the United States.
The honor attendant was the bride's aunt, Alma Lorena Serrano Rodriguez, and bridesmaids were Yeni Del Carmen and Mari Ines, the bride's sisters, all of El Salvador. They wore burgundy gowns. The bride's cousin, Alma Maria Mojica Serrano of El Salvador, served as flower girl.
The duties of best man were performed by the groom's cousin, Kevin Reash of Columbus, and Joseph Pappalardo Jr. of Louisville, Ky., was groomsman for his brother. Ring bearers were Christopher Pappalardo of Louisville, a nephew of the groom, and Eduardo Steven Serrano of El Salvador, the bride's cousin.
Prior to her marriage, the bride was a teacher in El Salvador.
The groom graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in physical therapy. He is the founder of the Action For Water and Education Foundation to Central America.
