Eighans to mark 50th anniversary at family party

XCANFIELD -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Eighan, 554 Barbcliff Lane, will be celebrated at a family gathering to be held June 2 at the Spread Eagle Tavern in Hanoverton.
Hosts for the event will be the couple's children and their spouses, Dr. Mark and Young Eighan of Redding, Calif.; Marianne and Dan Valentine of Canfield; Dr. Michael and Dr. Diane Eighan of Willmar, Minn.; and Dr. Ellen and Lee Brown of Wilmington, N.C. Completing the family are 12 grandchildren.
Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield, N.J., was the setting June 2, 1956, as the former Mary Ann Brezas and Mr. Eighan were united in marriage. They are members of St. Michael Church.
Mrs. Eighan was a member of Canfield Women's Club II, and is a member of St. Michael Garden Guild, St. Michael Altar Guild and St. Michael Bridge Club.
Mr. Eighan served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired in 1987 from General Motors Corp. in Lordstown, where he was an industrial engineer. He is a member of St. Michael Men's Club and is associated with Boy Scout Troop 25.
