Rabies shots for pets
WARREN -- The Trumbull County Veterinary Medical Association will sponsor animal rabies vaccinations from 1 to 3 p.m. June 14 at 11 locations.
County regulations require that all dogs, cats and ferrets be vaccinated. Cost is $10 per animal. An adult must present all animals on a leash and collar. No aggressive, unruly or dangerous animals are allowed.
The locations are: Bristol Township garage, Brookfield Township fire station, Champion Township garage, Church Hill Park in Liberty Township, Cortland garage, Howland Township road department building, Hubbard Township administration building, Kinsman Township fire station, Newton Township garage, Waddell Park pavilion in Niles and Warren's Packard Park.
Summer energy help
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Mahoning-Youngstown Community Action Partnership is scheduling appointments for its Home Energy Assistance/Summer Crisis Program.
The program, which runs from June 1 through Aug. 31, offers free air conditioners and financial assistance with electric bills for those meeting the requirements.
Eligible parties can receive an air conditioner if they have not received a new one in three years, and/or up to $200 toward their electric bills.
To be eligible, applicants must be homeowners or renters, and they must report their total household income for the past three months for all members 18 years and older.

Westminster reunion
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Westminster College is hosting a Triennial Alumni Weekend June 23-25.
The weekend includes a classic car show on Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Memorial Field House, decade gatherings, a seminar on DNA, pitch and putt, softball, volleyball, a golf outing, dining on the Senior Terrace, dancing in Old 77, and free time to visit with old friends.
The weekend also offers couples whose beginning was in the Wallace Memorial Chapel to renew their vows Saturday afternoon.
On Sunday, alumni choir members will sing at the worship service, which is open to all alumni.

Business seminars
YOUNGSTOWN -- Upcoming business seminars at the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County are designed to assist people thinking about starting a business.
The small business seminar will be presented by the library, along with SCORE, Counselors to Small Business.
Members of SCORE will discuss important topics for those considering developing a business, including the business plan, marketing, management and finances.
A librarian from Main Library's Information Services Department will discuss the role of the library's sources and services from business start-up and beyond.
The next seminar will take place at the Boardman Library from 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 5. To register, call (330) 758-1414.

Library officials said the library has provided specialized services to the area's business community since 1924.
