Association installs officers, plans events

SALEM -- The Columbiana County Association of Family and Consumer Science concluded the 2005-2006 season on May 16 by holding an installation ceremony and banquet at Salem Hills Golf Club.
Inducted for the 2006-2007 year were Janice Lesher, president; Jan Bethel, vice president; Tina Henceroth, secretary; and Kathy Bennett, treasurer.
The program for the evening featured Jessica Trickett, a representative of Mahoning County Historical Museum, who showed examples of clothing and beauty items that were popular from the mid-19th century through the 1970s.
The CCAFCS, formerly the Columbiana County Home Economics Association, is planning a series of programs and activities in celebration of its upcoming 50th anniversary. Former members interested in being included in the observance may contact Eileen Shilling at (330) 337-7684.
