KSU tuition going up 6%

KENT (AP) -- Kent State University trustees approved a 6 percent tuition increase for most students this fall, the maximum increase allowed under state law.
Trustees voted Wednesday to raise tuition at the university's main campus to $8,430 for undergraduates, and about $9,000 for graduate students.
The increase at seven regional campuses, where tuition is less costly, will be 4 percent for lower-level courses and 6 percent for more advanced ones.
Trustees said they regretted the moves.
