Foundation selects officers and awards scholarships

COLUMBIANA -- The election of officers for the 2006-2007 season was conducted by Columbiana Community Foundation on April 25 during an annual meeting.
Named to head the organization were Norman Spiker, president; Nels Scheel, vice president; Jean Ziegler-Rienerth, secretary; and Lynn Stewart, treasurer.
A highlight of the meeting was the presentation of scholarships to students from Columbiana and Crestview high schools.
Scholarships and the recipients are:
Gamma Eta Sorority -- Christina Davidson, Gine Ball and Kelli Cartwright.
Dr. Chester W. Dewalt Athletic -- Davidson.
John J. "Jack" Hill -- Lindsay Willett.
E. Gordon Warner Memorial -- Eric Bable.
Barton-Kissell -- Tricia Dickey.
Columbiana Community Foundation -- Kristen Hart.
Columbiana Alumni and Friends Scholarship Association -- Bable and Cartwright.
Lucille Funkhouser-Mundy Music Award/Band -- Bable.
CCF Education -- Bable and James Frost.
Crestview Alumni -- Jennifer Welling, Christopher Simmons, Darren Ray, Amber Peddicord, Colby Henderson, Frost and Bethany Kesler.
