Woman holds on to hope over missing friend

TRANSFER, Pa. -- Linda Henry says she hasn't given up hope that there will be a resolution to the disappearance of her friend, Sandra Kay Baker.
Baker was last seen six years ago today at a convenience store on Pa. Route 18. Since Baker's disappearance, Henry has held a memorial service on the anniversary of her disappearance, but this year she intends to put up new missing posters of her friend.
Henry says progress has been made with the conviction of private investigator Clifford Aley, 48, formerly of Fourth Street, Ambridge, for lying to police about the investigation, but more work needs to be done. Aley was convicted Jan. 12 for lying to a Pennsylvania State Police officer on three occasions during a June 18, 2000, interview about Baker's disappearance.
The lies resulted in the loss to investigators of Baker's car, a crucial piece of evidence. Years later, Aley admitted that Baker's housemate and fianc & eacute;e, William Crea Jr., asked him to arrange for the car to be repossessed by creditors. By the time Aley told the truth, the car had been destroyed.
