May 18
Drug abuse: Police arrested a 17-year-old city boy on charges of drug abuse of marijuana, obtaining and possessing and underage possession of tobacco when police arrested him during a traffic stop at Main Street and Cardinal Drive. Police found a suspected marijuana cigar and a box of cigarettes. The suspect was released to his mother.

May 15
Breaking and entering: Woodside Elementary School, 4105 Elmwood Ave., was broken into.
Burglary: Entry was gained through a window, but nothing was stolen at a home in the 2000 block of Sprucewood Court.
Theft: A total of 100 gallons of diesel fuel was stolen from a large truck parked in the lot at Comfort Inn, 5425 Clarkins Drive.
Breaking and entering: A leaf blower was taken from a home in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.
Burglary: A cell phone, DVD player and vacuum cleaner were stolen from a home in the 60 block of N. Raccoon Road.
Theft: An undetermined amount of money in a donation jar was stolen from Speedway, 4401 Kirk Road.

Theft: Cigarettes were stolen at Walgreen's, 5501 Mahoning Ave. One man was arrested and a second man fled.
Aggravated robbery: A man with a handgun robbed a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Boulevard.
Theft: A check, a .45-caliber pistol, a tool box and CDs were stolen from an auto parked in the 3000 block of Myrwood Lane.
Auto theft: A 1993 Ford Taurus was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.
Criminal damaging: Patio furniture was damaged at a home in the 3000 block of Dunbar Avenue.
Theft: A purse and its contents were taken from a vehicle at a home in the 3000 block of Monaca Avenue.

Possible theft: An undetermined amount of coins and currency was reported stolen from a home in the 5000 block of Baker Street.
Theft: Three cartons of cigarettes were stolen from the BP gas station, 890 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Criminal mischief: A gas cap was removed from a vehicle, but no gas was stolen in a driveway at a home in the 5000 block of East Rockwell Road.
Auto theft: A gray 2002 Hyundai Accent was stolen from Westgate Motors, 4493 Mahoning Avenue.
Drug offense: Police charged a Boardman man with possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse of marijuana during his arrest at Mahoning Avenue and South Roanoke Avenue.

Drug offense: The U.S. Marshal's Violent Crime Task Force arrested a fugitive from Youngstown on a felonious assault warrant and a Boardman man at the scene was charged with possession of crack cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The arrests were made at an apartment in the 20 block of Wickliffe Circle.
