Lawrence Co. Fairgrounds to host dog show

NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- One of the largest five-day dog shows in the country is coming here this week.
The Lawrence County Fairgrounds will be the site of the Memorial Classics Dog Show, a five-day event that begins Thursday. Dog exhibits will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
The dog show is one of the signature events of the American Kennel Club. It concentrates on the distinctive features of purebred dogs and helps to preserve these characteristics by providing a forum on which to evaluate breeding stock.
Admission is free, and parking costs $2.
