Mid-August date for Sarah Medvec, Terry McDermott

XPOLAND -- Michael and Christina Medvec, 2174 Manor Ave., are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Medvec, 3919 Brant Road, Gahanna, to Terry McDermott, 498 Arbors Circle, Gahanna.
Mr. McDermott is a son of Patrick and Ruth Ann McDermott, 882 Helenhurst Court, Westerville.
The couple will be married during an open ceremony set for 3:30 p.m. Aug. 12 at Brownlee Woods Presbyterian Church. A reception by invitation will take place that evening at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman.
The date also marks the wedding anniversaries of the bride-elect's parents and her paternal grandparents.
Miss Medvec graduated from Bryman Institute in Columbus with a degree in medical coding and billing. She is employed by Dr. Wesley Harnish in Westerville.
Her fianc & eacute; will graduate in December from Ohio Dominican University in Columbus with a degree in intervention specialist. He served as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division and was a corporal in the U.S. Army.
