HOUSTON -- Thiago scored early in the second half to give Chicago the victory over Houston.
Thiago scored from 12 yards out in the 51st minute. The midfielder from Brazil split two defenders up the middle and punched the ball into the right side of the goal.
Chicago (2-1-4) has not allowed more than one goal in each of its last six matches.
Houston (4-3-1) lost for the first time in four games and was shut out for the second time this season. The Dynamo played without the league's leading scorer, Brian Ching, who is away playing for the U.S. National Team.
