Sentencing court
Judge Christopher St. John of Mercer County Common Pleas Court sentenced three men to prison and put one on probation Thursday. They are:
Raymond Stewart, 72, of South Broad Street, Grove City, three to six years in prison followed by 10 years' probation for involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, a felony. Stewart had sexual contact with a 5-year-old child between the summer of 2004 and March 2005, court documents state. He will have to register as a sex offender with Pennsylvania State Police for the rest of his life.
Willie Hayes, 35, of Mesabi Street, Sharon, 21/2 to five years in state prison for aggravated assault, a felony. Hayes used a knife to stab a man in the chest, abdomen and thigh June 5, 2005, in the 200 block of Mesabi Street, court documents state.
Trayon Talley, 20, address given as Mercer County Jail, 21/2 to five years in state prison for felony robbery and a misdemeanor count of possessing a controlled substance. Court documents state Talley conspired with two other men to rob and assault a man in the vicinity of South Stateline Road and Erie Street, Sharon, May 28, 2005. He held a shotgun to the man's head and took a wallet and $195 from him.
Robert Anderson, 48, of Hamilton Avenue, Farrell, one year probation and to make restitution for receiving $1,166 in overpayments from the Mercer County Assistance Office, 2236 Highland Road, Hermitage, because he failed to disclose wages paid to him from May 2003 to March 2004.
