LEAVITTSBURG -- One of the LaBrae High School Envirothon Teams finished second at the Ohio Soil and Water Conservation District area competition in Painesville earlier this month.
They competed against 69 other teams representing high schools and home schools from 17 counties in Northeast Ohio and will now compete at the next level.

The winning team from was Nic Cibella, Louise Gensburg, Joel Martin, Kelly Mullen and Daniel Smith.
"This was the highest finish for a Trumbull County school in over a decade," said Mike Wilson, the Trumbull SWCD executive director. The competition is a natural resource-based outdoor science program.
The Ohio Envirothon is sponsored by the Ohio Federation of Soil & amp; Water Conservation Districts in cooperation with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
