Golf outing is good for the heart (association)



Proceeds will be used to help protect people from heart disease.
LIBERTY -- American Heart Association's 2006 Golf Classic Scramble will be held June 19 at Youngstown Country Club.
The 18-hole, four-person scramble is scheduled to begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Play will be limited to 120.
The entry fee is $250 per person and includes lunch at 11:30 a.m., golf carts, refreshments on the course and an awards reception. Registration will be accepted at (330) 965-9230.
There will be team and individual prizes, including a cash prize of $25,000 for the first hole-in-one. Other hole-in-one prizes will be a new car and a $10,000 shopping spree at an area jeweler. A woman's 14-karat gold iolite/sapphire ring will be awarded for the closest-to-the-pin shot.
Proceeds will benefit AHA's cardiovascular research, educational and advocacy programs to help protect people from heart disease and stroke.
