Charity event moved to Bedford Trails
The outing was originally scheduled for Countryside.
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Michael T. Hartzell Charity Golf Outing is moving to Bedford Trails in Lowellville and will be held July 30.
The event had been scheduled for June 25 at Countryside Golf Course.
Hartzell, a city patrolman, was shot and killed in the line of duty on April 29, 2003.
The course is at 713 Bedford Road, Lunch is at noon, tee time at 1:30 p.m. and dinner follows golf.

Corporate sponsorships are being sought. For $500, corporate sponsors get a banner and radio and TV acknowledgment.
For hole sponsorships, the donation is $100.
Sponsors are also being sought to donate prizes.
The charity outing provides scholarships at Youngstown State University for graduates of Austintown Fitch High majoring in criminal justice, children of police officers in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties or YSU students enrolled in the police academy.
To qualify, YSU students must have a 2.5 grade-point average or higher.
Hartzell's father, Howard, said $100,000 has been raised the past three years and 10 scholarships awarded.
