GIRARD
May 16
Criminal damaging: A man in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue told police another man, 25, cut a screen at the victim's home and made three threatening phone calls.
Criminal mischief: A man in the 400 block of East Prospect Street reported someone threw eggs and green paint at his Ford Explorer and placed sugar in the gas tank of another of his vehicles.
LIBERTY
May 10
Recovered property: A 1995 sport-utility vehicle was found in a wooded area near Cleveland Auto Wrecking Inc., 2700 Youngstown-Hubbard Road, after being reported stolen.
Theft: A Hubbard man reported the theft of a cellular phone from his vehicle after coming out of Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave.
Theft: A man in the 80 block of Fairway Avenue reported someone entered his truck and took a digital camera and a camera bag.
Arrest: Police took a 40-year-old Youngstown man into custody at the Mahoning County Jail on a warrant charging him with two counts of burglary.
Identity fraud: A Tibbetts-Wick Road woman found out someone obtained a credit card in her name last year and fraudulently charged more than $14,200 worth of goods and services.
May 11
Domestic violence: Officers arrested a 15-year-old boy at his Northgate Avenue residence on a domestic-violence charge after his mother alleged the boy threw her onto a couch when she tried to intervene during a fight.
Assault: A woman told authorities her grandson, 8, was assaulted at E.J. Blott Elementary School, 4115 Shady Road. The victim was slammed to the floor several times during a fight with another pupil and taken to Forum Health Northside Medical Center, 500 Gypsy Lane, after suffering a possible concussion and internal injuries.
Burglary: Someone entered a home in the 5700 block of Belmont Avenue through an unlocked window. Nothing appeared to be missing.
Theft: A man in the 1200 block of Will-o-Wood Drive discovered an AM-FM stereo/compact-disc player stolen from his vehicle.
May 12
Theft: A 16-year-old Canfield boy was arrested on a theft charge after a box of medication was stolen from Giant Eagle. He also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse (marijuana) after a suspected marijuana pipe and suspected marijuana were found on him.
Recovered property: Police found a 1990 Plymouth Voyager in the 1300 block of Kensington Avenue after a Monticello Drive woman said a man borrowed the vehicle and never returned it.
Theft: A man in his 20s stole numerous Sony PlayStation 2 games from Movie Gallery, 3551 Belmont Ave.
May 13
Recovered property: A deposit bag containing an undisclosed amount of money was found after an employee at a McDonald's restaurant, 3620 Belmont Ave., discovered it missing from her purse.
Theft: A woman in the 30 block of Fairlawn Avenue said someone stole a portable CD player and 12 CDs from her car.
Theft: A woman in the 4100 block of Logan Gate Road told police her former roommate, 19, refused to return a set of apartment keys.
Attempted breaking and entering: Someone broke a front window at Liberty Mini Mart, 3007 Belmont Ave.
May 14
Assault: A Youngstown man, 23, was apprehended on Motor Inn Drive and charged with assault and resisting arrest. He was accused of pushing an employee at Denny's Restaurant, 4020 Belmont Ave., and fleeing from police on foot.
Criminal damaging: A woman in the 1500 block of Millicent Drive discovered a garage window broken.
May 15
Criminal damaging: Someone destroyed a $40 mailbox in the 2400 block of Tibbetts-Wick Road.
Arrest: Police picked up a 51-year-old Youngstown woman at the Mahoning County Jail on a warrant from Liberty. A charge of disorderly conduct was pending.
