Seditz sues for $17,000

The complaint says the money was provided for in his contract.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Boardman's ex-administrator sued the township and its trustees, seeking more than $17,000 he says he's owed.
Curt B. Seditz, who was fired from the administrator post without cause March 31, filed the complaint Thursday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.
He had served in that position for about 10 years.
In the complaint, Seditz, through attorneys Dennis Haines and Joseph Kondela, says that although the township paid his severance, he didn't receive the regular compensation for 60 days after his termination date as provided in his contract.
That amount was to be about $12,000. He also says that under his contract, he is entitled to four weeks' paid vacation during each contract year. His contract was to expire Dec. 31. Seditz contends the township has refused to pay him for that, which amounts to $5,715.
Reaction
Robyn Gallitto, trustees chairwoman, said the complaint would be turned over to the Mahoning County prosecutor's office, which represents the township, and trustees would listen to their advice.
"I find it interesting that he would file this when he is in possession of computer disks and Rolodex files that contain township documents," she said.
Gallitto said the township has asked that those items be returned.
