May 10
Robbery: Police were called to investigate a robbery at Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive. No other details were in the report.
Arrest: Officers apprehended a Boardman man, 20, at Jim's Brushless Full Service Car Wash, 238 Boardman-Canfield Road, on misdemeanor warrants charging him with carrying a concealed weapon, criminal damaging and criminal mischief. A separate charge of carrying concealed weapons was added after police say he had two knives and a metal spike on a chain.
Breaking and entering: Someone broke into Stride Rite T's, 6534 South Ave., after prying open a back door. Money was taken.
Theft: Candy was stolen from a Shell gas station, 950 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A Boardman woman reported the theft of her purse while at the Southern Park Mall.
Burglary/theft: A Wilda Avenue woman discovered someone entered her home and garage, and that items had been stolen on a separate occasion.

Theft/aggravated menacing: A Willow Drive man told police a check had been stolen from his residence and passed electronically, and that his life and the lives of family members were threatened.
Theft: A woman reported her wallet stolen while at Auntie Anne's in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A license plate was removed from a car in the 5200 block of Old Oxford Lane.
Theft: Two cartons of cigarettes were stolen from a Speedway gas station, 649 E. Midlothian Blvd.
Assault: A 16-year-old Boardman girl was charged with assault relating to a situation May 7 in the township.

Theft: A man reported his wallet stolen at Carrabba's Italian Grill, 1320 Boardman-Poland Road.
Criminal damaging: Two people reported damage to their vehicles in the 30 block of Shields Road.
Theft: A woman called police after several baskets of flowers were stolen from a front-yard sale in the 5100 block of Youngstown-Poland Road.
Drugs: After stopping a vehicle on Handels Court, police arrested a Campbell woman, 22, and a Youngstown woman, 23. One of the women was charged with possession of drugs; the 23-year-old faced charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension and operating a vehicle under the influence.

Bad check: Police picked up a 29-year-old North Jackson man at McCormick Vac 'n' Sew on a warrant charging him with passing bad checks. The man was accused of buying a vacuum cleaner with a check written on a closed account.
Theft: An 18-year-old Austintown man was taken into custody near Roche Way and Market Street on a theft charge after being accused of taking a bird from Petland, 7338 Market St.
Theft: An employee at Boardman Center Middle School, 7410 Market St., reported the theft of a cellular phone.
Theft: A Boardman woman discovered her credit/debit card lost or stolen, and that an unauthorized withdrawal was made from her account at Home Savings and Loan, 4005 Hillman Way.
Theft: Officers arrested a 49-year-old Poland woman on a theft charge after six DVDs and Sony PlayStation games were stolen from Sam's Club, 6361 South Ave.
Identity theft: A Clifton Drive man told police someone used his personal information to open a phone service account.
Theft: A Youngstown woman, 23, faced a theft charge after an employee at Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road, was accused of deliberately under-ringing and giving away merchandise for free.
Theft: Someone cut a lock to a storage area at the Shops at Boardman Park, 561 Boardman-Poland Road, and removed an equipment trailer, a weed trimmer and a lawn mower.
Theft: A 26-year-old Campbell woman faced one count of theft after someone stole $304 worth of clothing from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall.
Arrest: After running a vehicle's license plate at the Southern Park Mall, police discovered a 23-year-old Newark, Ohio, man was wanted on a warrant from Licking County, Ohio, charging him with probation violation. The man also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after authorities say he had a suspected marijuana pipe and a small bag of suspected marijuana.
Aggravated menacing: A worker at Famous Footwear in the Southern Park Mall told police she discovered a note on her vehicle's windshield stating she would be shot unless she took a deposit bag with money to a location near South Avenue. The victim was not harmed.
Vandalism: Someone tossed a rock at a vehicle in the 200 block of Mathews Road, denting and scratching its front fender.

Assault: A man reported being assaulted at a mobile home park in the 4000 block of South Avenue.
Theft: A motorist pumped gasoline at a Shell station, 7598 Market St., and left without paying.
Criminal damaging: A man reported three of his vehicle's tires were slashed while he was in Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Robbery: A worker at an IGA Super Center, 223 Boardman-Canfield Road, reported being assaulted after a customer stole steaks.
Theft: Someone took several video games from Movie Gallery, 1393 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Burglary: A woman in the 5400 block of South Avenue reported her residence broken into and items stolen.
Theft: Several prescription medications were taken from a residence in the 1700 block of Brandon Avenue.
Felonious assault: While responding to a fight at an Aylesboro Avenue home, officers arrested a 17-year-old female on a felonious-assault charge. She was accused of hitting the victim on the head and cutting the person with a piece of broken glass.
Arrest: While responding to an argument between two drivers, police took a 25-year-old Campbell man into custody after finding out he was wanted on a warrant from Miami charging him with robbery.
Drugs: Officers cited a 35-year-old Southern Boulevard man after responding to a loud-music complaint at the residence. Suspected marijuana was found on a stove, police said.

Criminal damaging: A woman in the 6000 block of Applecrest Court discovered damage to her two vehicles.
Theft: Police arrested a man, 37, and a woman, 39, both from Youngstown, and charged each with theft after the pair was accused of stealing two pairs of shoes, a vacuum cleaner and dish sets from Kohl's, 383 Boardman-Poland Road. The man also was charged with carrying a concealed weapon after authorities say he had a knife.
Theft: Merchandise was stolen from Dollar General, 859 E. Midlothian Blvd.
Theft: A man in the 4000 block of South Avenue noticed a wristwatch missing from his home.
Burglary: Someone broke into an apartment in the 800 block of Cook Avenue.
Attempted theft: A customer tried to steal money from a cash register at a Shell station, 8600 Glenwood Ave.
Recovered property: Police found a stolen vehicle at Wal-Mart.
Drugs: Authorities took a Boardman man and a Youngstown man, both 20, into custody during a traffic stop and charged each with underage possession of alcohol. Additional charges against the two were possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, obstructing official business and operating a vehicle under the influence.
Arrest: While investigating a vehicle that drove into a wooded area near Lockwood Boulevard, police arrested a 29-year-old Youngstown man on charges of operating a vehicle under the influence and obstructing official business.
Robbery: Authorities apprehended a 30-year-old Youngstown woman after pulling over her vehicle in the township and learning she was wanted on a warrant from Niles charging her with robbery.
