NEW YORK CITY HOT DOG RELISH
1/2 cup water
1 medium onion, chopped
1/3 cup ketchup
4 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon paprika
Freshly ground pepper
In saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 5 to 10 minutes, until desired consistency.
SAUERKRAUT HOT DOG TOPPING
15ounces sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1/2 teaspoon caraway seed
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Cook on low heat until heated through and serve over hot dogs.
