Man pleads innocent to charges related to crash

NILES -- A man who drove his SUV into a building over the weekend pleaded innocent Tuesday in two courts.
Walking with the help of crutches, David E. House, 19, of Belgrade Street, Girard, entered his plea in Niles Municipal Court to driving under suspension and reckless operation. He also appeared in Girard Municipal Court to respond to charges of driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to control and driving under suspension.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said House was exiting state Route 11 at Tibbetts-Wick Road on Sunday afternoon when he collided with a car driven by Joan Ramsey, 73, of Arms Boulevard, Niles. She was not injured.
The patrol said House's SUV went over the guardrail and House drove off.
Once he got to Niles, he reportedly went through a T-shaped intersection of Main Street and Robbins Avenue and into a building being remodeled.
