Show winners' works on display at gallery
WARREN --Trumbull Art Gallery has announced the five award winners from the third annual Trumbull Area Artists members juried show.
The show is on view at the gallery, 196-198 E. Market St.
Judging the show was Meeghan Humphrey, visual arts coordinator for the Ashtabula Arts Center.
Best of Show winner was William T. Perry for a watercolor titled "Onions."
Second place went to Dawn Marr for "Mary Helen‚" an oil painting.
John Madden was third-place winner, for a woodcut titled "Jigging."
Honorable mentions went to Lynn Cardwell for an untitled mixed-media piece, and to S. Dinobile Mascarella for an oil painting called "Nite Owl."
Humphrey said: "Each winning entry stands out in its own way. In the end, the process of jurying a show is subjective, but I hope to have chosen a selection that is representative of the work being produced in this region."
Exhibition curator and area artist Gail Trunick reported that 74 pieces from 52 artists were juried into the show. She didn't say where the winners are from.
The exhibit, which closes June 10, is open to the public during regular gallery hours of noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday each week.
