Kent and YSU both at Ann Arbor Regional

Where: Ann Arbor, Mich.

Friday's pairings: Kent State (32-22) vs. Oklahoma (38-19-1), 4:30 p.m. and Youngstown State (22-25) vs. Michigan (40-13), 7 p.m.
Saturday's pairings: Two winners meet and two losers meet
Format: Double-elimination.
Michigan report: When the Wolverines won the NCAA championship last spring, they became the first team east of the Mississippi to do so. Michigan is making its 12th straight appearance in the tournament and is the host site of a regional for the fifth straight year.
Kent St. report: The Golden Flashes defeated the Penguins in all three meetings this year including twice at McCune Field last month.
YSU report: The Penguin softball team has never played Michigan before.
Oklahoma report: The Sooners compete in the Big Eight.
